Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Hosts a Meeting with Leading Egyptian Companies and Business Associations

Cairo, Egypt – The Egyptian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Hamdi Loza, hosted a meeting with leading Egyptian companies and business associations on 2 July 2019, to discuss partnerships in the organization of the Inaugural Meeting of the “Aswan Forum for Sustainable Peace and Development”. Titled, “An Agenda for Sustainable Peace, Security and Development in Africa”, the meeting is scheduled to take place in Aswan, Egypt on 11-12 December 2019.

The meeting introduced leading Egyptian and multinational companies and business associations to the ongoing organizational and substantial preparations. Ambassador Loza stressed the importance of the private sector’s contribution and investment in sustaining peace and development in Africa.

The meeting was attended by leading Egyptian companies in various fields, in addition to major business associations, including ORASCOM, El Sewedy Electric, Etisalat Misr, Hassan Allam, Commercial International Bank, National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr, Banque du Caire, British Egyptian Business Association (BEBA), Egyptian Junior Business Association, Federation of Egyptian Industries, and the Export Development Authority.

Attendees expressed their interest in the Forum and the issues it aims to explore. They affirmed their commitment to support this important initiative to develop solutions for the challenges facing Africa.
