In preparation for the Aswan Forum, the Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding (CCCPA), acting in its capacity as the Secretariat of the Forum, will organize a series of workshops, covering the following topics:

Advancing the Implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in Africa: Overcoming Challenges and Seizing Opportunities
Conflict Prevention in Africa: From Policy to Practice
Towards a Comprehensive, Integrated and Coherent Approach in Dealing with A New Typology of Armed Conflicts and Groups
Peacebuilding and Sustaining Peace in Africa: Towards a Coherent Approach to the Peace Continuum
The outcomes of these workshops will be used for the preparation of the “Aswan Peace and Development Report.” Published before the Forum, the Aswan Report is meant as a forward-looking, action-oriented and thought-provoking conversation starter during the Forum.
